Chevrolet Awards Spotlight
It looks like 2016 is going to be a big, big year for Chevrolet! Motor Trend recently announced that the 2016 Chevy Camaro and the 2016 Chevy Colorado Diesel are the winners of the 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year and Truck of the Year, respectively.
The 2016 Chevy Camaro is the sixth generation of one of the most American and best-loved sports cars of all time. This new beauty is 390 pounds lighter than its predecessor and can be had in six new powertrain combinations ranging from a 2.0-liter engine to an LT1 V8. The Camaro hasn’t won the Motor Trend Car of the Year award since 1982 - you could say this win has been a long time coming!
The 2016 Chevy Colorado wins the Motor Trend Truck of the Year for the second consecutive year. The new Colorado Diesel option with its 2.8-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine provides drivers with segment-best torque and towing of up to 7,700 pounds without killing efficiency (the Colorado earns an EPA-estimated 31 mpg highway).
Congratulations, Chevrolet, on another impressive year!
